Mineral Landman Services and Mineral Rights
Before you spend money on the ground, know who owns what under it. Our mineral landman services determine the land status and secure the rights you need to explore.
Your project is handled by a Registered Landman (RL) with the American Association of Professional Landmen, with 34 years of experience. Veteran owned and operated.

Three kinds of ground
-
Federal land in the western states: rights come from locating and staking mining claims under the General Mining Law of 1872. (Claim staking)
-
Acquired federal land and the eastern states: mining claims can't be staked. Instead, a prospecting permit gives you exclusive rights to explore for specific minerals.
-
Private land: public land laws don't apply. You need a mineral lease agreement and a separate surface use agreement with the landowner, setting the royalty, any upfront bonus payment, and environmental terms.
What our mineral landman services include
-
Land status determination: who owns the minerals, who owns the surface, and who manages the land.
-
The right way to secure the ground, based on what it is: claims, a prospecting permit, or a lease.
-
Prospecting permits, drafted and submitted.
-
Mineral lease agreements and surface use agreements, negotiated with private landowners.

What comes next
Once the rights are sorted, the same team can:
-
Stake and record new claims (Claim staking)
-
Draft and submit your notice or plan of operations (Permitting)
-
Run geophysical surveys to find drill targets (Geophysical surveys)
